I reached out to Go As Local and heard back from Andi pretty immediately. In fact, he was very responsive throughout the entire planning process, and provided assurances as we got closer to our tour date, as we were not sure if there would be any restrictions placed back on Albania or the surrounding countries due to the difficulties with containing COVID-19. This excellent communication, by itself, was extremely important to me, as I have very high expectations with regard to communication and professionalism. Our communication experience was followed by wonderful professionalism and personal engagement throughout our time with Andi and our driver, Skerdi. We did two tours with Andi and Skerdi (Private Tour to Kosovo and Private tour to Northern Macedonia), and at the end of our trip, we added a third tour (to Shengjergji Waterfall and Bunk'Art), and Andi was willing to come down on the price to show his appreciation for us booking a third tour. Each tour was personalized, engaging, and enjoyable, and we highly recommend Andi and Go As Local to anyone wanting a quality and professional tour experience. If I could give more than 5 stars, I definitely would!

They’re very professional and very friendly, which makes the whole trip enjoyable. I could not ask for a better guide. Kevin has done this trip countless times so he’s very knowledgeable of the area.

Valbona is unbelievably beautiful. The guest house we stayed in has all the amenities you could think of, considering that you’re really out in the mountains. They have wifi!!!!!!

The view of the hike itself makes you feel like you’re dreaming. Trust me, it was that good! We did this hike early/mid May so that feeling of reaching the summit after walking over snow and rocks is indescribable. Will be talking about this hike for awhile!

Theth is a quaint little village with cows grazing on the meadows, and there’s also waterfalls. But for me, the highlight was the church. It looks so good against the mountains as the backdrop.

So if ever you’re planning of doing the Valbona to Theth hike, do yourself a favour and book these guys. You won’t regret it!
