Private Day Tour of Kruja and Sari Salltik Holy Cave

I didn’t have any expectations regarding Krujë, but the national museum Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu inside the castle felt very epic and turned out to be one my favorite ones so far in Albania. It amazes me how knowledgeable Andi is about everything you ask him, even specific details! We adjusted the itinerary a little bit on my request, which is always convenient if you’re running out of time.

Amazing tour of Albania!
I flew alone from London to Tirana over a bank holiday weekend and had a three-day custom tour package that Andi put together. He coordinated everything from airport pick up / drop off, amazing local food options, and a perfect mix of culture / history / nature – I couldn’t have felt more relaxed and enriched.

Andi has a great sense of humour, is reliable and professional, and holds a wealth of knowledge of Albanian history and culture. I really felt like Andi made sure I got the most out of my stay, and can’t stress enough how safe and fun Albania is (yes, even for women traveling solo!). Even during election season the streets were lively, people friendly, and I felt right at home.

On my tour we did Kruja, Sari Salltik, BunkArt, Pogradec and Lake Ohrid, Berat, and a number of other small stops along the way. I learned a lot and by the end of the weekend felt like I’d been hanging out with an old friend. Highly, highly recommend!

Go as Local in Kruja
After a Cooking Class in Tirana, we booked another Day Trip in Kruja with Go as Local.
Andi and Mario made sure we fully enjoyed the day. Very knowledgeable and funny.
Apart from the castle we also visited a kind of Holly cave or something that we found very interesting and important for the locals. Was our first time hearing about that religion.
